Training
Tyne Coast College's training programme for staff plays an important
Role in the college's approach to meeting its requirements under
Condition E6: Harassment and Sexual Misconduct - Office for Students.
All staff must complete mandatory training, tailored to their role which
aims to:
- Prevent and address harassment and sexual misconduct
-
Equip staff to respond to disclosures, provide suitable support and
report incidents
- Ensure confidence and knowledge in handling complaints
This training will be communicated to staff via their line manager and
records of completion are held centrally in the HR department.
All Higher Education students studying at Tyne Coast College will receive
relevant training on Harassment and Sexual Misconduct and the
college's approach to tackling this during their induction period
onto their programme of study. This will be reinforced through “Hot
Topics” covered by the Wellbeing and Safeguarding Team.
White Ribbon Accreditation
Furthermore, Tyne Coast College is committed to fostering a safe,
respectful and inclusive environment for all students, staff and the wider
